Chef Vanessa and Chef Eliza will guide you in a 40 minute class with some easy-to-find ingredients in your pantry!

Ingredients for Pita:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil


Ingredients for Hummus:

  • 1 cup chickpeas, or white beans 
  • ¼  medium roasted bell pepper, peeled and chopped (optional)
  • 1 T fresh lemon juice (¼ of a lemon)
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 1 slice of garlic, minced
  • Pinch of sea salt, plus more to taste
  • 2 T tahini (optional)
  • Dash (1/4 tsp) of turmeric (optional)
  • 1 tsp nutritional yeast (optional)


Equipment:

  • Oven
  • Sheet tray with parchment or foil
  • Rolling pin or heavy bottle
  • Plastic wrap
  • Pastry brush or spoon
  • Blender or food processor (if available)
  • 3-4 mixing bowls
  • 1 cutting board + knife
  • Plate for serving
